There is no better time to go to Costa Rica than February and there is no better reason to go than to experience your best self emerge from the spiritual practices of yoga and mindfulness. This year will be my fifth year of retreating at the Pura Vida Spa in the mountains outside of Alajuela, Costa Rica. I continue to go back because at the end of each visit I exclaim, “I’ve never felt better in my entire life!”
The reason for this exuberance comes from a combination of yoga classes and workshops, mindfulness meditation, beautiful sunshine, great food, fantastic wellness practitioners who provide massage and other healing modalities, interesting and beautiful eco-adventures, and a truly incredible community of people. The balance of practice, relaxation, and adventure results in a rejuvenating and transformative experience—unlike any other vacation you’ve ever taken.
There are different types of beautiful accommodations to pick from. View here. I currently have a Tentalow, A-Frame, Vistas, and Tri-Level available. All you need to do is send in a $500 deposit now to hold your space and the rest is due December 1. The cost includes yoga and meditation programming, food, and accommodations. Airfares are additional but have been quite reasonable this summer so it is a fantastic time to book your travel.
Costa Rica is more than a vacation destination; it is an interactive sensory experience. The country is has an intense array of environmental attractions as well as a peaceful and family-oriented culture. One of the most prosperous and politically stable countries in the region, Costa Rica is the only Central American state without a permanent standing army. It is not unusual for people who attend to wonder “Why not live in Costa Rica?” and, actually, some people end up buying property here!
